Using MSOT and MRI to measure bowel transit in children

Who can take part

  • You are a child (age 1 to 18) with a suspected or confirmed chronic bowel emptying problem.
  • You (if age 6 or older) and your parent or guardian can give written permission to join.
  • You are willing and able to take part, and you speak enough German to understand the study information.
  • You do not have any metal implants, severe anxiety in tight spaces, or certain health issues like thyroid problems or kidney trouble.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You are not taking certain medicines like beta-blockers, some pain relievers, or seizure drugs.
