  • You have high-risk MDS based on specific scoring systems (IPSS-R or IPSS-M).
  • You are healthy enough for a stem cell transplant (able to do most daily activities, with a performance score of 60 or higher).
  • You have a donor available (related or unrelated, even if not perfectly matched).
  • Your major organs (heart, lungs, liver, kidneys) work well enough for transplant.
