Gene testing in blood cancers with family history

This study looks for inherited gene changes in people with certain blood cancers (myeloproliferative neoplasms) who have a family history of similar blood cancers. It aims to understand how genes might be passed down. You may be able to join if you have the cancer and a family member also had a blood cancer.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with one of these blood cancers: essential thrombocythemia, polycythemia vera, or myelofibrosis.
  • You have at least one close family member (parent, sibling, child, grandparent, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, or cousin) who had a blood cancer like yours.
  • You are willing to provide your medical records and sign a consent form.
