Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with liver cancer that can be removed with surgery.
  • Your tumor has one or more features that put it at high risk for coming back (for example, larger than 5 cm, has spread into blood vessels, or your AFP level is very high).
  • You have not had any prior treatment for liver cancer (like chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, or radiation).
  • You are between 18 and 75 years old, in good enough health to undergo surgery, and your liver and kidney function are adequate.
  • You do not have active infections (like uncontrolled hepatitis B or C, tuberculosis) or other cancers in the last 5 years (except some skin or early-stage cancers).
  • You haven't had any serious bleeding issues or blood clots in the past 6 months, and you are willing to use effective birth control if needed.
