Who can take part

  • You are over 18 years old
  • You have a complex blockage in a heart artery branch (called a bifurcation lesion)
  • You are scheduled for a procedure to open that blockage with one of two specific stent techniques (DK-crush or controlled balloon-crush)
  • You do not have a heart attack with ST elevation (a certain type on EKG)
  • You are not in cardiogenic shock (very low blood pressure from heart problem)
