Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have a complex bifurcation blockage (a Y-shaped branch in a heart artery that is significantly narrowed)
  • You are having a planned procedure with either a 'mini-crush' or 'controlled balloon-crush' method (two specific ways to place stents)
  • You are not having a heart attack with ST-elevation on an EKG
  • You do not have cardiogenic shock, in-stent restenosis, or end-stage liver/kidney disease
