Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 79 years old.
  • You are scheduled for a planned (not emergency) lung surgery using a scope through small cuts in your chest.
  • You are willing to follow all study procedures and sign a consent form.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and if you could become pregnant, you agree to use birth control for 6 months after surgery.
  • You do not have severe heart, lung, kidney, blood, or liver disease, and do not have an active infection near the surgery site.
  • You have not had a whole lung removed before (pneumonectomy), and you do not have a bronchial fistula or allergy to the study patch.
