Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have a pacemaker, defibrillator, or similar heart device
  • You are scheduled to have a heart rhythm ablation as part of your regular care
  • You have had a heart attack in the past, or have another type of heart muscle disease like cardiomyopathy, sarcoidosis, or myocarditis
  • You are not in the most severe stage of heart failure
  • You are expected to live more than 12 months
  • You do not have a mechanical heart valve in both the aortic and mitral positions
  • You are not pregnant or nursing
  • You do not have a blood clot in your heart that can move
  • You can understand and agree to participate in the study
