Who can take part

  • You are between 30 and 70 years old.
  • You have had shoulder pain for more than 3 months.
  • Your shoulder movement is limited in at least two directions, both when you try to move it and when the doctor moves it.
  • You have not had a similar injection treatment (hydrodilatation) in the past year.
  • You have not had a steroid shot in the shoulder in the last 2 months.

This trial tests if adding a gentle hands-on treatment (Spencer technique) to the standard fluid injection procedure (hydrodilation) helps people with frozen shoulder move more easily and feel better. If you have been diagnosed with unilateral frozen shoulder and have already had the hydrodilation procedure, you may qualify.
