Who can take part
- Your blood pressure is still high (140/90 or above) despite taking at least 3 different blood pressure medicines, including a water pill.
- You have been on the same blood pressure medications for at least 3 weeks.
- You are 18 years or older.
- Your kidney function is not severely reduced (eGFR above 20).
- You do not have a known cause for high blood pressure (like a kidney or hormone problem).
- You have not had a heart attack, stroke, or heart surgery in the last 3 months.
- You are not allergic to seaweed, corn, artichoke, grape, melon, milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, or soy.
