Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 40 or lower.
  • Your blood pressure is still high (above 130 systolic) despite taking at least 4 blood pressure medicines, one of which must be a diuretic (water pill).
  • You are not pregnant or planning to become pregnant, and if you can have children, you agree to use effective birth control.
