Who can take part

  • You are between 8 and 19 years old
  • You have a fully grown molar or premolar with a deep cavity that goes more than two-thirds into the dentin layer (but still has a protective layer over the nerve)
  • A dental X-ray (bitewing) has been taken as part of your regular check-up
  • You can come back for follow-up visits for at least one year
  • Your tooth is not already planned for removal, and does not show signs of nerve damage like pain when tapping, gum swelling, or a pimple on the gum
