Who can take part

  • You are 35 years of age or older
  • You have high blood pressure (diagnosed by a doctor, with or without medication)
  • You are overweight or have obesity (BMI between 27 and 40)
  • You do not currently exercise much (you are physically inactive)
  • You have a smartphone that can run the study's app (iPhone with iOS 16 or newer, or Android version 10 or newer)
  • You can walk up stairs and do not have any serious heart or lung conditions that make physical activity unsafe
