Who can take part
- You are a veteran, age 22 or older
- You have been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter (an irregular heartbeat)
- You are currently taking either apixaban (Eliquis) or rivaroxaban (Xarelto)
- Your CHA2DS2-Vasc score (a measure of stroke risk) is 3 or higher
- You are able to take oral medicines and are willing to stick with the assigned treatment
