Who can take part
- You are 70 years or older.
- You have atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat) confirmed by an ECG or heart monitor within the past year.
- Your stroke risk score (CHA2DS2-VASc) is 2 or higher for men, or 3 or higher for women.
- You do not have a mechanical heart valve, active bleeding risk, or severe kidney or liver disease.
- You are not already on certain other blood thinners or medications that could interact with rivaroxaban.
