Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are on a breathing machine (intubated)
  • Your heart is stable enough that you don't need blood pressure medicine
  • You need a low to moderate amount of oxygen (60% or less)
  • Your breathing machine settings are at a safe, lower pressure (PEEP 8 or less)
  • You are not receiving any muscle-paralyzing drugs
