Who can take part

  • Your child is between 3 and 5.5 years old.
  • One lower first baby molar needs to be pulled because of bad decay or damage.
  • The other lower first baby molar on the opposite side is healthy and has no cavities between teeth.
  • The lower permanent first molars have not come in yet.
  • Your child still has their baby canine and second baby molars.
  • You have not placed a space maintainer, or you cannot have one made.
