Who can take part
- You are 19 years old or older and are currently in the hospital for sudden worsening of heart failure.
- Your NT-proBNP level is above 300—a sign that your heart is under stress.
- You have a possible respiratory virus infection, such as a fever over 100.4°F, cough, or congestion.
- You had a nasal swab test for viruses within the first 3 days of hospital admission.
- You do not have a clear other cause for your heart failure like a heart attack, serious arrhythmia, or severe anemia.
