Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • Your cardiac arrest happened outside of the hospital and was witnessed.
  • The emergency medical team (SMUR) had to restart your heart or provide advanced life support.
  • You cannot have a severe head or face injury that prevents placing a sensor on your forehead.
  • You cannot have had your heart start beating on its own before the emergency team arrived.
