Who can take part
- You must be 18 or older and have been resuscitated after a cardiac arrest (heart stopping) that happened either outside or inside the hospital.
- You must still be unconscious (not following commands) at least 30 minutes after any sedating medicines are stopped.
- Your cardiac arrest should not be caused by a head injury, bleeding in the brain, or a stroke.
- You cannot have a broken neck or need to be placed on your stomach for breathing support.
- You must not be on very high doses of blood pressure medication or have had repeated cardiac arrests.
