Who can take part

  • You are on maintenance hemodialysis at least 3 times a week (or 5 times over 2 weeks) for at least 3 months.
  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT).
  • Your dialysis fluid calcium level is at least 1.25 mmol/L (your dialysis center will confirm this).
  • You are not taking certain other SHPT medicines (like Sensipar or Parsabiv) during the study, and you haven't used a RANKL inhibitor (like Prolia) in the last 6 months.
  • You have not had parathyroid surgery in the last 6 months and do not plan to have it during the study.
