Who can take part

  • You are an active first responder like an EMT or paramedic who works rotating shifts
  • You have been working shift work for at least 1 year
  • You work at least 4 night shifts per month
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18.5 and 35
  • Your resting blood pressure is less than 140/90 mmHg
  • You do not have any chronic diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, or cancer
  • You do not have a sleep disorder or take sleep aids like melatonin or Ambien
