Who can take part

  • You must have a formal diagnosis of POTS (a fast heart rate increase of at least 30 beats per minute within 10 minutes of standing).
  • Your POTS diagnosis must be at least 6 months old.
  • You may have had COVID-19, but only if you meet the POTS criteria.
  • You must be on a stable dose of POTS medication for at least 4 weeks before starting.
  • You cannot have high blood pressure (above 150/100), low blood pressure when standing, or a recent stroke or heart attack.
  • You cannot have severe anemia or a history of vagus nerve surgery.
