Deutetrabenazine for tardive dyskinesia in people with intellectual disabilities

Who can take part

  • Diagnosis of intellectual or developmental disability (IQ below 70, started before age 22)
  • Tardive dyskinesia for at least 3 months
  • Stable doses of any psychiatric medications for the past 3 months and willing to keep them stable for 24 weeks
  • No previous treatment with tetrabenazine, valbenazine, or deutetrabenazine
  • No certain heart conditions or medications that could interact
