Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 80 years old
  • You must have obesity with a BMI of 35 or higher, or a BMI of 30 or higher with related health problems
  • You must have moderate to severe sleep apnea (more than 15 breathing pauses per hour during sleep)
  • You must be on the waiting list for bariatric surgery at the study hospital
  • You must be able to read and understand the study information and give your permission

Testing a New Weight-Loss Medicine for Sleep Apnea

This study tests whether a new injectable medicine called NNC0487-0111 helps people with excess weight and moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea (a condition where breathing stops repeatedly during sleep) lose weight and improve their sleep apnea—without needing a CPAP machine. The goal is to see if better weight loss can reduce sleep apnea symptoms.
