Who can take part

  • You are eligible for bariatric surgery for severe or morbid obesity (based on BMI).
  • You have diagnosed obstructive sleep apnea (confirmed by a sleep study).
  • Your sleep apnea is significant (AHI greater than 15 events per hour).
  • You currently need CPAP treatment for your sleep apnea.
  • You do not have a cognitive or language problem that would prevent understanding study instructions.
