Who can take part

  • You have a broken tibia (shinbone) that is being fixed with a metal rod inside the bone.
  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You can come back to the hospital for checkups for at least 12 months.
  • You do not have a history of stomach bleeding, stroke, or heart attack.
  • You do not have severe kidney disease.
  • You are not regularly taking NSAID pain relievers (like ibuprofen or naproxen) or using IV drugs.
