Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You have a bone lesion (spot) in the femur shaft or femur neck
  • You are planning to have preventive intramedullary nailing (a metal rod inside one femur)
  • Your case is not a fracture that is already happening at the time of surgery
  • You are not currently pregnant
  • You are able to take the study pain medicines (and are not allergic to key pain drugs)
