  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with polycythemia vera (PV).
  • Hydroxyurea or interferon didn't work for you or caused side effects you couldn't handle.
  • You have healthy skin at the injection site and can receive shots under the skin.
  • You are in generally good health (able to do daily activities with little help).
  • You've had a bone marrow biopsy in the last year.
