Switching PAH medicines: does it change your risk?

Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must have a firm diagnosis of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), confirmed by a special heart test called right heart catheterization.
  • You should have either switched from ambrisentan to bosentan within the last 6 months, or been on ambrisentan for at least 6 months without switching.
  • You must not have severe liver problems.
  • You must have complete medical records and be able to attend a follow-up visit 3 to 6 months after the switch.

Triple therapy vs sildenafil dose increase for PAH

This study compares two approaches for people with PAH whose current treatment (a combination of sildenafil and an endothelin receptor antagonist) needs to be stepped up.
