Who can take part

  • You must have been diagnosed with PAH within the past 6 months and not have taken any PAH medicines before.
  • You must have at least two of the following: high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity (BMI 30 or higher), or coronary heart disease.
  • Your heart catheterization must show certain pressure readings (e.g., average pulmonary artery pressure at least 25 mmHg).
  • You cannot have other types of lung or heart problems, severe kidney or liver disease, or be pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You must be willing to use effective birth control if you could become pregnant.
