Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You weigh at least 40 kg (about 88 pounds).
  • You have had asthma for at least one year.
  • You use a daily inhaler (with or without steroids) and your dose has been steady for at least one month.
  • You have a breathing test showing your lung function is no more than 80% of normal for your age and height.
  • You have high levels of inflammation markers: either a FeNO test of 25 or higher, or an eosinophil blood count of 300 or more (or 150 or more at screening).
  • You have not had a life-threatening asthma attack in the last 5 years.
  • You do not have active tuberculosis or other serious lung diseases like COPD.
