Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You are a cardiology patient without an infection, or you have been diagnosed with sepsis, a hospital-acquired infection, myocarditis, endocarditis, or pericarditis.
  • You do not have a serious chronic condition like an autoimmune disease or kidney/liver failure.
  • You are not taking steroids or other immune-suppressing medications.
  • You do not have cancer or a disease that weakens the immune system (like HIV).
