Bladder oxybutynin for children with spina bifida

Who can take part

  • Age between 6 and 17 years old
  • Has spina bifida with an overactive bladder confirmed by a recent urodynamic test
  • Uses a catheter to empty the bladder at least 3 times a day for at least 6 weeks
  • Previous oral bladder medications either didn't work well or caused intolerable side effects
  • Willing and able to perform bladder instillation (medicine put directly into the bladder via catheter) either by the child or a parent
