  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You are currently in the adult ICU and awake and stable enough for assessment.
  • You can provide written consent to participate.
  • Your BMI is below 30 (not considered obese).
  • You do not have a known nerve or muscle disease before ICU admission.
  • You are not on certain treatments like kidney replacement therapy, chemotherapy, or high-dose steroids.
  • You are not pregnant or unable to have a leg assessed due to amputation or recent fracture.
