Who can take part

  • Your tumor must be HER2-positive (a specific protein found on some cancer cells).
  • Your cancer must have gotten worse while on your last treatment (radiographically confirmed).
  • You must be at least 18 years old and have a life expectancy of at least 3 months.
  • Your overall health (ECOG score) should be 0, 1, or 2 — meaning you are up and about at least half the day.
  • You cannot have cancer that has spread to your brain or spinal cord, or have had certain heart or blood vessel problems.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding, and you must not have had a very high total amount of a certain chemotherapy called anthracycline.
