Who can take part

  • You are between 40 and 75 years old.
  • You have type 2 diabetes for at least 1 year.
  • You have been diagnosed with diabetic peripheral neuropathy (nerve damage in your hands or feet).
  • Your diabetes medications have been the same for at least the last month and will stay stable during the study.
  • You do not have autoimmune diseases (like lupus or rheumatoid arthritis), thyroid disease, peripheral artery disease, or cancer.
  • You are not taking any supplements or anti-inflammatory medicines (including antioxidants) now or in the last 3 months.
