  • Age 18–75 years
  • Type 2 diabetes diagnosed by standard criteria
  • Nerve pain or damage in your feet or hands due to diabetes (lasting at least 3 months)
  • Low vitamin D level (below 30 ng/mL, confirmed by blood test)
  • Stable diabetes medication for at least 3 months (no recent changes)
  • Not currently taking vitamin D supplements or any in the past 3 months
