Comparing two ways to match insulin to meals in type 1 diabetes

Who can take part

  • You are 21 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes for at least one year.
  • You currently take insulin with multiple daily injections (not a pump).
  • You already know how to count carbohydrates (trained by a program or educator).
  • Your latest HbA1c test result is between 7.5% and 11% (within 7 days before or after screening).
  • You are not pregnant, and you have not had a severe low blood sugar episode or diabetic ketoacidosis in the last month.
