Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old
  • You were admitted to the ICU within the last 24 hours
  • You have been diagnosed with sepsis (a severe infection affecting your whole body)
  • You do not have a hole, bleeding, or blockage in your stomach or intestines that would prevent tube feeding
  • You are expected to stay in the ICU for more than 7 days
