Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG), possibly with valve surgery.
  • Your surgeon plans to use a specific artery (LIMA) to bypass the main artery of the heart (LAD).
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You do not have permanent atrial fibrillation or severe kidney disease (eGFR under 30).
  • You are not allergic to contrast dye, not pregnant or breastfeeding, and do not need emergency bypass surgery.
  • You can take nitroglycerin and beta-blocker before the CT scan (your heart pumps at least 40% of blood out).
