Who can take part
- Your baby must be born very early, between 26 and 31 weeks corrected age (adjusted for how early they were born).
- Your baby is expected to need breathing support through a mask or prongs (called CPAP) for at least 2 more weeks, either starting now or after being taken off a breathing tube.
- Your baby does not have any tubes going into the belly button (umbilical lines).
- Your baby does not have a known genetic condition or a muscle/nerve problem.
- Your baby does not have a known belly problem (like an opening in the belly wall or previous surgery on the belly).
- Your baby does not have broken or damaged skin on the belly.
