This study tests whether a supplement called gamma-glutamylcysteine can help people who have had repeated head impacts from football or military combat. You will take the supplement and have brain scans and memory tests to see if it makes a difference.

Who can take part
- You are a retired NFL player, or a Navy SEAL or Army veteran who had combat experiences involving repeated head impacts.
- You have memory or behavior issues that you or someone close to you has noticed.
- You are between 30 and 70 years old.
- You can read and write in English and agree to take part in the study.
- You do not have any metal inside your body (like a pacemaker or metal fragments), claustrophobia, mild cognitive impairment (based on a screening test), a history of cancer, active mental health issues (psychosis or delirium), kidney or liver problems, recent antioxidant use, or a serious head injury within the last 90 days.
