Who can take part
- You are at least 2 years old
- You have a moderate-sized hole in your heart (6–36 mm) that is causing the right side of your heart to work harder
- There is at least 5 mm of healthy tissue around the hole's edges (and at least 7 mm near the heart valves)
- You do not have other heart problems needing surgery, a blood clot in your heart, or a serious infection in the last month
- You are not pregnant, and you do not have kidney problems or an allergy to contrast dye
