Who can take part

  • You must have head and neck squamous cell carcinoma confirmed by biopsy.
  • You cannot have had any prior treatment for this cancer.
  • Your cancer must be stage III to IVB (advanced but not spread far).
  • You must be in fairly good health (ECOG score 0 or 1).
  • Your blood counts and liver/kidney function must be within certain limits.
  • You must agree to use effective birth control if you or your partner could become pregnant.
