Who can take part
- You are at least 18 years old
- You have a history of liver cirrhosis (scarring of the liver)
- Your blood clotting is not too impaired (INR below 1.5)
- Your platelet count is above 50 x 10⁹/L (a measure of blood cells that help clotting)
- You are willing to undergo two procedures to measure the pressure in your liver's blood vessels
