Exercises for shoulder pain in young swimmers

This study tests whether a special training program (using biofeedback and scapular exercises) can help reduce shoulder pain in young competitive swimmers. You will not swim during the study, but will do exercises instead.

Who can take part

  • You are between 9 and 13 years old
  • You swim butterfly or backstroke and swim at least 4 hours a week
  • You have shoulder pain
  • You are not currently in a swimming competition
  • You do not have a past arm fracture or surgery, a neurological condition, or scoliosis
