IDH1 mutation targeted therapy for untreated AML

Who can take part

  • You must have a newly diagnosed blood cancer called AML or MDS/AML that has a specific IDH1 mutation.
  • You must be considered unable to receive intensive chemotherapy due to age or health conditions.
  • Your white blood cell count must be below 25 x 10⁹/L (can be lowered temporarily with hydroxyurea).
  • You must have adequate kidney and liver function (specific lab test results needed).
  • You must not have had prior AML treatment (except hydroxyurea or certain MDS treatments).
  • You must agree to use effective birth control if applicable.
