Who can take part
- You must have been diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma (a type of liver cancer) that cannot be treated with surgery or other local treatments, or that has gotten worse after those treatments.
- You must not have had prior treatment with certain immunotherapy drugs (PD-1, PD-L1, or CTLA-4 blockers).
- Your liver function must be at a moderate level, called Child-Pugh B7 or B8 on a standard blood test.
- You need to have at least one tumor that can be measured on a scan (like a CT or MRI).
- Your blood counts and organ function must be within a certain range (for example, platelets at least 40,000, hemoglobin at least 8, and adequate kidney function).
- You must be 18 years or older and not have a history of an organ transplant, active autoimmune disease that needs treatment, or a serious allergy to IV contrast dye.
