Who can take part

  • Your child must have a diagnosis of autism from two doctors using standard mental health guidelines.
  • A certified specialist must have done an autism evaluation using the ADOS-2 test.
  • A genetic test must show a specific extra copy of genetic material on chromosome 15, including the UBE3A gene.
  • Your child cannot have had a serious infection in the last 3 months.
  • Your child cannot have had an active seizure in the last 6 months.
  • Your child cannot have taken vitamin A or mineral supplements in the last month, and must not have liver, kidney, or thyroid problems.
